Sleuth Wood Release and Hold Harmless Acknowledgement *

By checking the boxes adjacent to points 1 to 3 below, either on behalf of myself or on behalf of a minor over who I am legal guardian, hereby voluntarily understand, acknowledge and agree to the following.

1. I understand that Sleuth Wood Ranch LLC (“Sleuth Wood”) operates as a horse boarding and riding facility, and as such, there are inherent risks in being on the property operated by Sleuth Wood and in being around, riding and caring for the horses located on said property. I understand and acknowledge that UNDER TEXAS LAW (CHAPTER 87, CIVIL PRACTICE AND REMEDIES CODE), AN EQUINE PROFESSIONAL IS NOT LIABLE FOR AN INJURY TO, OR THE DEATH OF A PARTICIPANT OR EQUINE IN EQUINE ACTIVITIES RESULTING FROM THE INHERENT RISKS OF EQUIE ACTIVITIES.

2. I further release and hold harmless Sleuth Wood and its owners, partners, employees, trainers, other riders, and stable workers from any injuries, bodily harm, death or dismemberment that may occur to myself or to the minor on whose behalf I am signing, as well as any damage to any property belonging to myself or said minor, that result from my/our voluntary participation sponsored by Sleuth Wood and/or on the property operated by Sleuth Wood.

3. If I am signing on behalf of a minor, I herby agree that said minor must at all times when mounted upon a horse or pony, wear as ASTM certified helmet.
